Tessaout Project
The Tessaout Project is a sustainable development project, sustainable on the three main perspectives: economic development, social development and ecological development.
Our goal is to act upon the Tessaout River Valley, from the point where the river is born (Mount M’Goum) until it leaves the Atlas (Jossuef Bog). We have started in a small zone with 3 villages and about 500 inhabitants.
The living conditions for the zone, without reaching a degree of extreme poverty, are filled with so much hardship that we had to act – there is no drinking water, electricity, education or jobs, and women live in dire situations while children are abandoned.
Also, the economic development at other zones of the country in the past few years has barely reached the valleys in the Atlas, thus increasing the gap between their current situation and how the rest of the country lives.
