Chronology and History of ACCIÓN GEODA FOUNDATION

2007:

A group of Friends of the speleology group Geoda has the first contact with the Tessaout Valley.
Flea market “The lion’s den”.
First exploratory trip to get to know the necessities of the area and first interview with Ifoulou and Azzarzam Local Association. October.

2008:

First Field Work on Easter at Ifoulou village.
Project Tessaout (name of the river that gives its name to the Valley of our work zone) is born.
Ifoulou´s Communal House: design and planning during the Field Work in Easter. Construction starts in summer.
1st Solidarity Musical Festival. Sala Caracol. June 5th.
2nd Field Work in August and September in Ifoulou.
1st Literacy Course for women in Ifoulou. September.
Flea market. December.
Public Presentation of aG on December 12th 2008 – Catalonia-Moratín Hotel (Madrid).

2009:

Concert in Aluche, Madrid. March.
3rd Field Work in Easter in Ifoulou, Azerzem and Irbrane villages.
Acción Geoda Foundation is registered in the Registry of Foundations in Spain.
Design, planning and begining of the construction of the Communal House in Ifoulou.
Painted Photos Exhibition “ON THE BRINK OF YOU, IFOULOU”. May.
IV Solidarity Flea Market in El Solar de Lavapiés (Madrid). July.
1st course of pre-school classes and 2nd literacy course for women in Ifoulou.

The Communal House, the medical dispensary and the classroom are finished and inaugurated in Ifoulou.
